Are you ever confused when Republicans vote for more welfare spending?
Do you wonder why America’s wars always seem to start under Democrats?
During the aftermath of the Presidential election did it anger you that long-serving Republicans refused to take President Trump’s complaints about the election seriously?
Did their final betrayal of him hit you like a punch to the solar plexus, knocking all the wind out of your chest?
I can honestly say none of this surprised me at all. I know, bully for me, right?
Well, no, actually. It makes me sad to have been right for all these years.
I’ve seen the pantomime in D.C. as both sides hand off control to each other every few years but always ‘govern’ with the same over-riding purpose; to build an unassailable wall of power between the political elite and the people they rule.
This is true because there is no divide between the two parties in D.C. The GOP and the DNC are, in the great words of libertarian commentator Tom Woods, “Two wings of the same bird of prey.”
And one of the very best things that has come about from this election cycle, where clear and pervasive voter fraud occurred, is that so many more people have come to that same conclusion.
If you are one of them, believe me, it gets easier to accept every day.
I hear from well-meaning, thoughtful conservatives all the time. They are good, decent people and they are regularly so disappointed by the Republicans who campaign on the correct rhetoric but get into office and give into the pork spending, the assaults on our culture and never stand up to the Democrats’ insane ravings about race and inequality.
It’s because they are part of The Club folks…
..and The Club exists for their benefit, not yours.
Team Red and Team Blue are constructs. They are false opposites. Yes, there are members who are more aligned with one philosophy than the other. AOC is definitely a crazy commie and Rand Paul a mostly principled libertarian, but they aren’t the party leadership.
Well, in AOC’s case, not yet.
The rank-and-file Republicans are either too weak, too compromised or just plain in it for themselves to do anything but put up token resistance on the Road To Serfdom described by F.A. Hayek more than seventy years ago.
The leadership, however, of both parties are perfectly aligned and only pretend to fight in public. This is why Mitch McConnell makes the “mistakes” he makes.
In fact, it’s why Mitch McConnell is still in a leadership position in the GOP, to ensure that no major policy program is curtailed.
And we’ve known this implicitly for years. The GOP was the false and controlled opposition to the Democrats who set the agenda the people who stand behind them wanted them to set.
In the post-COVID world, we can see their plan very clearly and it is a frightening one.
The slow realization that we don’t really control Washington lay dormant until awakened by Ron Paul back in 2008. It led to the Trump revolution in 2016.
A lot of people understood that there was something terribly wrong in Washington but, like Trump, didn’t realize just how bad things were.
There was a certain naivete in both the Bernie Bros on the left and the MAGA Dudes on the right. They both yearned for an America that gave them a fair shake, that didn’t pile burdens and guilt on them for being white or middle class or, worse, heterosexual.
I’ve talked to plenty of liberals who aren’t godless, gun-hating tyrants. They are just as appalled by what’s happening as the conservatives are.
Both groups believed that the system of America still, at its core, worked in their favor. That if they just picked a champion and made their voices loud enough the pols in D.C. would have to listen to them.
The Bernie Bros were disenfranchised in 2016 and, likely, in 2020 as well. And the MAGA Dudes just learned the same lesson on a much grander scale.
And that was my fervent hope for the 2020 election. Because The Club in D.C. told us how they were going to steal the election. They told us Trump would be ‘fumigated’ from the White House, in the words of Nancy Pelosi.
The only way to beat that would be a landslide of such immense proportions that it would force the cheating out into the open, exposing the lies.
That’s exactly what happened. Anyone with any shred of intellectual integrity or a basic understanding of math knows this. And yet, they stole the election anyway.
And this, to me, has created the perfect moment of transition for America.
Because this has now collapsed the false dyad of Red vs. Blue in the minds of millions. A country that has never been more divided is also now strangely united in their contempt for not only our government but also the media which openly supports its most brazen lies.
There are still plenty of people on the left side of the political spectrum who think that their “winning” this election will bring them everything they ever wanted.
They think, if the screeching on Twitter is to be believed, that a complete repudiation of Trumpism will usher in a new golden age of enlightened embracing of trannies, and the final dispersal of the vestiges of community and family in America.
And in the short run they may be completely right.
By the same token, however, the collapse of Red vs. Blue means the wholesale rejection of the GOP by tens of millions of Trump supporters. That destroys the myth they are the only viable opposition to the insanity of the Democrats.
Seventy-five million Trump voters were just cured of their Stockholm Syndrome to their GOP captors.
This was a necessary illusion which needed to be dispelled and could only be torn down with the GOP’s betrayal of Trump when the country’s future was on the line.
It paves the way for a new American political landscape, one bereft of the false hope of a GOP savior at the next election. The GOP only ever acted as the relief valve for the anguish and frustration of two generations of nominally conservative Americans to pour their money into and in doing so feed The Club even more power.
Trump brought the party Hispanics and Black people in record numbers. He appealed to their better angels and desire for an honest job and a stable community to raise their families in.
The Democrats will hold a sham impeachment trial with the Republicans’ consent to reinforce their dominance over the people — the Deplorables, MAGA Dudes and Bernie Bros who made the mistake of thinking they had hope of getting off their reservation.
For better or worse Trump blew apart the lie that Republicans stood for freedom and the Democrats for socialism. They both just believe in power, theirs.
Now that Red Vs. Blue has collapsed it’s revealed the far more sinister and dangerous reality that America is now the land of Us vs. Them.
And that is a fight Politics-As-Usual cannot settle.

I call it the UniParty. Two wings of the same bird, as it were!
And they are shooting “the bird” at all of us that aren’t involved in their game.
It ties in with the central banking grift as well, not to mention the market hedgers that play “Heads I win, Tails you lose”!
I don’t know if it’ll be a 3rd Party, or a genuine Hostile Takeover of the GOP, but the situation MUST change or a literal Civil War is the only remaining option!
The GOP does not want to lead, they are the comfortable party. They have never done anything with power when they had it. They would prefer begging for money and flailing their arms…we don’t have the votes and we have to protect China Mitch.
Tom, I agree with your analysis. The question then becomes, what comes next? This could take several paths. None of them good. The establishment controls the military/police, the courts (corrupt and/or cowardly as they are) and most of the corporate mass media.
Now that the illusions/delusions, that allowed this country to be governed have been shredded, they will attempt to rule by brute force (current DC is an example of that). This will not end well for anyone (either side).
Best guess is many leftists & liberals become disillusioned with the establishment as much as the right has been, and gradually everything just degenerates into its natural order. It probably starts with California or New York effectively declaring bankruptcy, once those two states go down the whole damn thing does.
This is absolutely correct. Next fight will be very much fight between Good and Evil.
One very good specialist told me that most important question for the next century is who are ” we “”
The problem is that psychopaths’ have extremely well developed social skills, they manipulate lie and cheat and bully out any normal human who the considered threat.
Collapse and Soros and other very old Swamp Elders deaths does not save us. Circus may burn down but when clowns survive, then we soon discover that new boss is like old boss.
So we must find the way how smoke those people out. They are very clever. Serial killers can fool professional investigators for decades.
There are 2-4 % of those people , color revolutions are done mostly by this group, they are extremely aggressive and tirelessly lie 24/7 , so they can fool many people in very short time.
Every nation has them and because of that, we have Global communist network.. So serious enemy and all nations states, ethnic groups and races must work together to bring this beast down.
The basic definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome. The only difference between George Bush the shrub and Obama is that George’s daddy’s daddy stole the money he was living on, Obama had to find brides for his money.
Neither one of these parties is at all suffering under the illusion that they are not bought and paid-for whores of the top 25 corporations. The game is to loot and rape the country until there is nothing left and then flee somewhere “safe”. The elite class is a set of slimeballs laughing all the way to the bank. You need to get over it and figure out a grift.
That is America today.
Right you are! Now is the time for Texas plus 18 to think about an sovereign state. Which controls its own currency not $ borrowed from private banks,
For the first four decades of my life, we had Republican presidents and Democrat presidents. But even when we had Republican presidents like Nixon and Reagan, we only had Democratic Congresses (although the GOP had a narrow majority in the Senate during Reagan’s first term).
Knowing that Congress – not the president – has the power to tax, spend, borrow and regulate, I dreamed of a day when the GOP would take Congress and that day finally came after the 1994 midterms leading to a genuine free market economist, Dick Armey, as House Majority Leader.
But, after a few terms, Newt Gingrich and the GOP majority he led, showed themselves to have no real political convictions in domestic affairs and no difference with Bush 41 on foreign policy. Armey was forced out because of his loyalty to Gingrich over a procedural matter and, whatever conservatism Republicans ever had, if any, was lost and gone, perhaps forever.
Small correction
“Two heads of the same viper.”
Not nice to insult the birds.
fair enough… I do love raptors.
Your article is definitely on point. As far as Rand Paul though, he crossed the Rubicon for me when he voted to certify a fraudulent election. All of his whining and complaining now is just noise. While I always supported him in the past, (he’s the only politician I ever allowed to put a sign in my yard) that support is over. As far as the other incumbent Republicans, I’m in agreement with an article recently in The Burning Platform entitled, I AM Done. She ended it with these words, ” fuck these motherfuckers to hell and back for what they’ve done to me, and mine, and my country.”
I think one of the biggest revelations from the 2020 election for us libertarians was that people like McConnell, Lindsey Graham and other obviously nefarious characters in DC haven’t really been winning re-election over and over, the elections have been rigged. At least that gives you a slightly better view of humanity realizing that so many voters really couldn’t be that stupid.
People that think Donald Trump is still the answer are delusional. His four years as President were a waste of time and probably made things worse. I won’t go any further on that line as the facts related to it are there for all to see. He was a horrible President. I mention it to amplify that the mistake does not need to be repeated. I agree that the two parties work for the same bosses. That has been true since before World War I, at least. The solution cannot be more politicians, more political parties or more Judges who owe their existence to political appointments. I think it is obvious as to where this is all headed and if a person still thinks that there is a difference between the two parties they are fools. Talking about it is like having 500 chefs in the same kitchen trying to come to an agreement on why their cake fell.
I’m more pessimistic. I think that the vast majority of people still believe in Red vs Blue (worldview control by MSM still in force) and at best are suffering some cognitive dissonance over the betrayal of Trump by the GOP.
Concerning to me that the bottom of your article contains only a Twitter link. Part of the cabal?
No.
When Gab has a widget to put into WP, I’ll put it there. As a creator I have to curate followers. Twitter is one of those tools, and it’s still a good tool… until they take it away from me.
I know the world is a big, scary place and there are psy-ops everywhere, but using the tools of your enemy is sometimes good strategy.
I won’t miss twitter’s traffic, but I welcome it now.
The basic problem is not the motivation of our “representatives” in Washington, it is the lack of democracy in the U.S. which has resulted in our utter dependence on these forever clowns.
Democracy is governance by the citizens, via representatives. Other countries have referendums on important issues but the U.S. does not allow them. Imagine a referendum on war: Yes or no, should the U.S. have combatant commands, troops and wars around the world? . .Washington would never allow such a citizen vote on war, or on health care, for two major examples. Actual governance by citizens would not be allowed by the corporations that control the Washington crowd. Israel wouldn’t care for it either.
Democracy: “a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.” It’s a nice concept. The U.S.ought to try it some time.
Democracy is a terrible system of government that ensures the majority prey on the minority. True democracy happens in a society built on the principles of property rights and sound money
Government is just fraud and violence with a pretty face
Only a moral people can make good decisions about war, abortion, gun control, etc.
Ephesians 6:12
Yeah. That pretty much sums it up.
This article is right on the mark. Allow me to provide a simple example of how the left and the right are actually the same. Each side stands for non-aggression and liberty, but only on certain issues (of course the ones for which favor them or their voters).
For example, the left uses the word profit as if it were a bad word. The right does the same thing with the word “pleasure.” And both sides use government regulation and laws to impose these prejudices on others. The left wants to punish or prohibit wealth-creation and the right wants to tax or prohibit various pleasures (drugs for example). And of course no left person is opposed to his or her own profits (rich celebrities for example). Likewise, no right person objects to his or her own pleasures. So the left routinely argue for more taxes on wealthy people but rarely argue for more taxes on their own income bracket. And the right routinely seek to slap prohibitions on the preferred pleasures of others, while being left alone to enjoy their favorite pleasures, be it a cocktail, cigar, Coke/Pepsi, high-calorie meal, or sex act. NOTE BOTH sides are equally eager to get our government to initiate force against other people’s profits and/or pleasures.
So the logical conclusion is that the left and right are united in a shared, self-contradiction. They do not treat other people’s profits and pleasures in the same way they treat their own. Thus, there are not two separate problems here. These are not two “parties.” There is no profit problem for the left and pleasure problem for the right. There is instead one shared problem. They are both “anti-life” so to speak. Both lead to aggression against at least two things (for this simple example) that people benefit from — profits and pleasures. Politics and government are just being used to impose prejudices about profits and pleasures on other people. Politics is just the brokering of power of the government which has the power to create and enforce laws and regulations (and they happen to control the police, courts and military). So individuals and corporations lobby the government to use that power to their advantage. They wouldn’t have an advantage if there was no government (there would be no one to lobby who has special powers). Private entities and people are not the problem. The government is the core problem because the people gave it special powers. Most of this country has been duped into thinking the people on the left and right are the problem. They are not. It’s the government power structure that has the power to implement each side’s prejudices.
In a stateless society there is no possibility that socialism can be imposed, there is no possibility that mass migration can be imposed, there is no possibility that national debts can be imposed, there is no possibility that the “war on drugs” can be imposed, there is no possibility that invasive and destructive foreign wars can be imposed, there is no possibility that nation building or empire building can be imposed, there is no possibility that government “education” can be imposed. A free society is a society without a state. A state is the violation of the non-aggression principle. When you universalize the non-aggression principle it’s the greatest quantum leap forward in human society, flourishing, and morality that could possibly be conceived of. It would be even greater than the end of slavery which would be the closest equivalent that happened in history. As long as you have a government, the government will buy votes by promising the “citizenry” security in exchange for liberty. So people will get liberty and security at the same time by passing the debt for their security on to the next generation, in the same way that the first woman to get an old age “pension” paid around 45 cents in taxes and got 10s of thousands of dollars in return. She didn’t pay for that, illustrating the government’s promise of security and liberty while not raising taxes enough to fund the security. That’s where the national debt comes from. The national debt is there to create the illusion that you can have security and liberty at the same time. By security I mean the government paying for accidents or mistakes that you didn’t plan for, get insurance for, or deal with. Unfortunately mankind hasn’t learned the lesson of a quarter billion people slaughtered by governments outside of war in the 20th century. Now it looks like we’re going to have to learn that lesson the hard way.
